The Andreita chairs were conceived for their participation in the design competition annually organised in Valencia by the furniture manufacturer Andreu World. Their main purpose was to ensure that their production would involve the lowest possible cost in terms of materials and labour, while at the same time improving the level of comfort offered by any other seating produced by the manufacturer.
Therefore, their design consists of a seat made up of just two pieces which, manufactured from curved plywood, can be assembled without the need for any joints or glue, resulting in an almost monolithic chair. In this way, time and labour are saved during production without compromising the necessary rigidity and structural strength once seated.
These chairs also offer a high level of comfort, as they have been designed with a flexible backrest, along with a generously sized seat and wide armrests. Furthermore, thanks to the characteristics of the material used in their manufacture, with finishes available in oak, beech or walnut wood, they feature a modern and minimalist design of great lightness and elegance, primarily intended for use in dining rooms, living rooms, and the contract sector.
To further enhance comfort, an optional cushion has been added to the seat which, upholstered in full-grain leather available in various shades, can be attached using a Velcro fastening system. In addition, these chairs may be fitted with or without armrests, thus increasing their versatility of use.
The Andreita chair is, ultimately, a timeless piece of seating that successfully meets furnishing needs without ever compromising on good ergonomics or refined aesthetics.
