Without clearly recalling in exchange for what, or perhaps merely due to a somewhat fleeting friendship, these tattoo designs were created on commission for a patient with whom I coincided during a period of hospitalisation.
The tattoos, which convey pseudo-mystical messages, seek to convince us of the existence of a “God” who watches and controls everything, as if we were His vassals, owing Him respect and obedience in all His directives and commands. In this way, and by being part of a community, it is as though we were compelled to act and behave in good faith, always striving for the common good and causing the least possible harm to others.
